There was a time when there was only one political party in Russia, and only one of them had weight in the political space of the country. The question arises: has much changed? On the one hand, "United Russia", as the ruling party, has taken its roots in absolutely all state structures and in all spheres of society. But on the other hand, in the Russian Federation at the moment there are more than 70 political party formations, and some of them really force to reckon with.
The All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM) conducted a public opinion poll to find out which of the parties the Russians would vote for if the elections to the State Duma of Russia were held next Sunday. The survey involved 4,200 respondents from all regions of the country. The results of the study formed the basis for the distribution of places in today's ranking.

5. Non-parliamentary parties of Russia
Although these parties are not represented in the federal parliament, each year they expand their influence more and more, gaining more and more new followers among young people, and not only among this age category. These are mainly opposition parties, which, in fact, explains the absence of their representatives in the Russian Parliament. These include: “Patriots of Russia,” putting traditions on top of their values; "Communists of Russia", dreaming of reviving socialism; “Civic platform”, which aims to fundamentally change the economy of Russia and “adjust” the image of the right; "Homeland", which is a party focused on the national development of the country. A day is not enough to announce the entire list of non-parliamentary parties, so we confine ourselves to the main ones listed above.
4. Fair Russia
The Social Democratic Party Just Russia was formed in 2006 by combining three parties. Its chairman is Sergey Mironov. Often members of this party are called "Social Revolutionaries," although they have nothing to do with the pre-revolutionary "Social Revolutionaries." Just-Americans are often confused with the Communists, which is understandable: their ideological views are largely similar, moreover, they cooperate with each other.
3. The Communist Party
The Communist Party of Russia is the direct successor to the CPSU. One difference is that the “new” communists cooperate with the Russian Orthodox Church and try to prevent the development of any religious sects in the country. The Communist Party is also the second after United Russia party in terms of the number of supporters. Renewed socialism is its ideological foundation.
2. LDPR
Perhaps one of the most popular parties in Russia with its equally popular and charismatic leader - Vladimir Zhirinovsky. The Liberal Democratic Party is included in the category of "pseudo-opposition", which means that it has many points of contact with the ideology of the ruling party, despite the fact that it positions itself as an ardent opponent of the official position of the Kremlin.
1. United Russia
As mentioned earlier, United Russia is the largest and most influential party in the entire domestic political space. It is headed by Dmitry Medvedev and Vladimir Putin. It will be superfluous to say that it is this political entity that determines the main directions of state policy. Since 2003, United Russia has made up the parliamentary majority. The main postulates of this party are centrism and conservatism.
From year to year we observe the same picture: whether it is the presidential election, parliamentary or the State Duma - the composition of the participants remains almost unchanged. United Russia, the Communist Party, the Liberal Democratic Party and the Slovak Republic firmly occupy their places in our ballots. But whether this composition will change, whether the opposition will be able to freely participate in the political life of the country is up to you to decide.
