Experts at the Domofond real estate media portal wondered which cities in Russia were the richest in 2019. And they found the answer to it by interviewing 90 thousand people living in various parts of our country.
People were asked if they were comfortable enough to live on their income, if they had enough for the most necessary things, and even more than that, and they were asked to rate their answer on a ten-point scale. In the whole country, the assessment of own financial well-being reached only 3.9 points.
10. Dolgoprudny, Moscow region
The rating of the richest cities in Russia opens with a small (112 thousand people), but a prosperous city near Moscow. According to the results of the survey, he lags just a bit behind such an urban giant as St. Petersburg.
Dolgoprudny is located just 18 km from Moscow, and it is clear that many of its residents work in Moscow, and only go home for the night. However, in the city itself there are enough enterprises, both industrial and from the service sector.
The population of Dolgoprudny does not forget about a healthy lifestyle. It is there that the federation of "walruses" is located - people who are quenched for the sake of winter immersed in ice water.
9. Saint Petersburg
In 2019, the ranking of the richest cities in Russia included only two millionaire cities. Even the residents of Kazan, traditionally proud of their city, even then, according to their own financial well-being, did not get into the top 10.
But Peter hit, although with a slight margin. Its residents believe that they live on average and give their standard of living a rating of 4.9 points out of 10.
Like other megacities, St. Petersburg is considered a rather expensive city for life, however, the level of salaries here is higher than in the whole country. According to statistics, an ordinary resident of the Northern capital receives about 51 thousand rubles a month. And if we add to this the unconditional cultural greatness of the city and the halo of intelligence that still surrounds its inhabitants, it turns out that St. Petersburg is a very attractive place to live.
8. Krasnogorsk, Moscow region
This city is located in the northwest of Moscow, which is very successful from an environmental point of view. Usually in the Moscow region, winds come from north to south, so that all the smoke and fumes from the ten millionth capital blows from Krasnogorsk in the opposite direction.
In addition, Krasnogorsk is located 22 km from the center of Moscow, but in fact it begins immediately beyond the Moscow Ring Road. It is not surprising that this is a very pleasant place to stay, especially considering the abundance of green spaces in the city and the financial giant near by, where it is easy to find a job.
However, the townspeople are not too happy with their fate and assess their level of well-being at 4.9 points. Interestingly, last year the score was much higher - 5.7 points. What happened there?
7. Vidnoe, Moscow region
Like Krasnogorsk, the small 70,000th city of Vidnoe is located very close to Moscow. It is only three kilometers from MKAD.
Among the cities of Moscow Region, Vidnoe has long enjoyed a good reputation, and at the beginning of the two thousandth it was considered one of the most comfortable throughout Russia. And the average rating by residents of their wealth is 5 points.
The city boasts an abundance of parks, small rivers and lakes, as well as developed infrastructure. And if something is missing in the city, then an electric train with an interval of 7 minutes will deliver the townspeople to the center of Russia located a couple of tens of minutes away.
6. Reutov, Moscow region
It seems that the center of gravity is gradually shifting from Moscow to the region. Otherwise, how to explain the abundance of suburban cities in the ranking? Residents of the Russian capital are experiencing all the hardships of life in a huge metropolis: crowding, gas pollution, huge traffic jams. And the Moscow region is not like Moscow anymore, but with all the metropolitan advantages.
The infrastructure in the Moscow region is almost as well developed as in the capital, and products and services are slightly cheaper. So the residents of Reutov assess their stay in the city as not bad with a score of 5.1.
5. Mytishchi, Moscow region
And again in the ranking of the Moscow region. This time we will talk about Mytishchi, another satellite city of Moscow. Like many other cities participating in this list, it is located very close to the Moscow Ring Road.
The city is developing rapidly - where at the beginning of the century there were dilapidated houses, typical new buildings are already rising. And its infrastructure does not lag behind the growth rate from construction projects.
In general, Mytishchi residents are satisfied with the level of well-being of the city and give it a rating of 5.1. Their life is overshadowed by only one thing - the lack of their own subway. Discussions have been ongoing on this topic for a very long time, but authorities have recently turned to the specifics of the authorities. It is assumed that the “orange” branch of Moscow will reach Mytishchi and the city will acquire two stations at once.
4. Tyumen
In fourth place in the list of the richest cities in Russia is the only Siberian, Tyumen. This city is a longtime favorite of many ratings, from the cheapest new buildings to the list of the cleanest cities in Russia.
And the townspeople are rather satisfied with their life in it, assessing the degree of wealth of the city at 5.2 points. They also note the quality of life in the city - in Tyumen it is good both to be treated, and to work and get an education.
3. Moscow
It is not surprising that such a city as Moscow entered the top three in wealth. It is amazing that the capital of our country is only in third place.
It is no secret that for many years Moscow has been a center of attraction for all of Russia, where people come to live and work. Housing and food prices in the capital are among the highest in Russia. The super megapolis is also ahead of all in terms of salaries, which are the highest in the country. As a result, Muscovites rate their life in the city as rather good and give it a rating of 5.2 points.
And although Moscow took only third place in the list of the richest cities, stability for their city can serve as a consolation for Muscovites accustomed to primacy. Assessment of their own well-being compared with last year fell by only 0.2 points.
2. Murino, Leningrad Region
So who overtook the mother of Russian cities in terms of living standards? In second place in the list of the richest cities was a small satellite city of St. Petersburg, which became a city recently, just a couple of years ago.
Murino is considered a city where population density is one of the highest. Moreover, the city is still under construction, and after all the construction projects are completed and the new settlers move in, Murino will overtake such anthills like Singapore and Delhi in the number of people per square meter.
Apparently, the tightness is beginning to affect - if last year the townspeople rated their welfare at 6 points, then this year only 5.3 points.
1. Kudrovo, Leningrad Region
In the first place among the richest cities in Russia is the twin brother Murino - the same city in the Leningrad region, which received this status just a couple of years ago, is as densely built up and densely populated, and also suffering from traffic problems.
With St. Petersburg, where the vast majority of suburban residents work, Kudrovo is connected by only one road. And there are constantly traffic jams. True, the government promises to hold the metro there, but when it will be.
But despite all the problems, the residents of Kudrovo believe that he lives very well. The average assessment of own income reaches a figure of 5.8 points. What do they like there?
- A large number of young families and the almost complete absence of drunks, hooligans and other asocial personalities.
- Lots of playgrounds.
- Large shopping centers within walking distance.
- The activity of local residents. They regularly go out on subbotniks, organize and conduct charity events, and make sure that developers do not bury too much. So, they managed to defend the green boulevard in the city, which they were already trying to put under new buildings.
Which city of Russia is the poorest?
This city is not located in one of the depressed regions of Russia like the Altai Territory and the Republic of Tuva, where according to RIA Novosti the lowest income level this year.
According to the respondents, at the very bottom of the scale of wealth of Russian cities were two relatively prosperous (by the standards of depressed regions) cities of the Rostov region with a working industry. These are Mines and Kamensk-Shakhtinsky. Their residents believe that they do not have enough money for anything.
